Dr. Chris Barry by Tammy Swales
Aside from organ donation advocacy, I specialize in liver transplant, laparoscopic liver surgery (including liver tumor ablation and resection), and living donor transplant (kidney and liver). I also perform pancreas transplants and general surgery in cirrhotic patients. My basic research passion is in liver cancer genomics and my clinical research interests include fatty liver disease and HIV transplantation.
I have been in India for one year, initially as a State Guest Transplant Consultant to the Government of Rajasthan in Jaipur now Adjuct Professor and Transplant Consultant at mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology, Jaipur.
I am also Executive Director of ctbtransplant.com Liver Transplant Surgery Consultancy Services, an Advisory Board Member for the MOHAN Foundation in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and a member of the Huffington Post Blogger’s Community.
